World tragedies and images of horror.

To what degree is it acceptable to show images of horror?
Remembering recent earthquakes and Tsunamis around the world and the devastation they caused- should images of tragedy and death be portrayed so harshly and vividly?
Is it the obligation of a journalist to tell the truth or should we be more conscious of the impact on the families of the missing and dead?
During 9/11- the Twin Towers terrorist attack in New York-, there was more censorship in showing images. But the reason for this censorship was not humanitarian but rather to avoid portraying the US as the “weak link” in the eyes of terrorists.
Is it necessary to display dead bodies, like in the case of Gaddafi? Does it bring more information to the readers or is it pure sensationalism to sell more media? How did the horror images in the Paris bombings affect viewers? And, how about the 2020 Paris stabbing attack? Do you think the recent cases of death by COVID-19 were shown responsibly by the media?
When showing the misery of the famine affecting some African nations, are we respecting the privacy of these victims?
While many rich countries seem to defend their victim´s privacy more, many poor countries seem not to be able to protect the privacy of their dead.
Is there an unfair treatment of horror, depending on where you live?
