Visual artifact

Find a visual artifact that interests you and promotes a positive social change. This may be an ad, graffiti art, social media post, or another medium.

  1. Analyze its use of ethos, pathos, and logos. What was included in the visual artifact that reaches and moves the audience to create change?

You might consider such things as use of:

color
texture/surface
images
size of the art work
display area
allusions to other art
and/or shapes
You may also want to consider whether people were included in the piece. If so, who? Why do you think this person was included in the art work?

Thinking back to Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People:

Does the person's stance convey any meaning?
Are there any images that symbolize something?
What do the person's/people's clothes seem to signify?

diction used
sound
use of camera angle/lens
use of statistics

  1. What elements make it a particularly useful way to reach the community?
