Written Report-A detailed report about the three issues and how each affects young children young children (ages 0-8) and their families. (3-5 pages)
For each issue you will need to do some basic research to be able to define the issue, describe how it impacts children and families and to identify groups, agencies and/or individuals who are actively working to support children and families that are affected. (see the last page of the assignment for tips).
IMPORTANT TIP: Avoid using your opinion or writing personal stories in parts 1 and 2, part 3 is where you can talk about what you think and feel.

1. A description of each of the specific issues and how they affect children and families. (make sure to cite the sources from you research)

2. A summary that describes the advocacy efforts of others around these issues
   a. What organizations are actively working to address these issues?
   i. Describe 2-5 organizations and/or individuals (such as elected officials) and the work that each does to build awareness or support children and families around this issue.
3. List each organization separately, provide the name, address etc. of the organization and then write a paragraph or two about what the organization does, who it helps, how it helps etc. (be detailed and thorough).
4. Reflection
   a. Why are these issues important to you?
   b. From your research, what needs to be changed in order to make a difference?
   c. What more do you think could be done to address these issues?
