1.Give a brief overview of the history of this company (when was it founded? By whom?
In which country? These, and some other important information).
- Give information about the organization structure. (Who is the CEO-brief, since when,
who is in the board, etc. In addition how is the organization structure). - Give some basic figures (during the last years, the company revenues, number of
employees, etc)
4.Markets / geographies (in which markets and geographical locations is the company
active?) - External environmental analysis (competitors, threats, opportunities) . Who are the
main competitors? What are the major threats and opportunities faced by the company? - Internal environmental analysis (strengths and weaknesses). What are the company’s
main strengths and weaknesses? - Discuss the growth strategy and competitive business strategy of the company.
These should be based on the lecture slides, where we discussed the various growth
strategies (EXAMPLES: horizontal, vertical, related, unrelated, international, and many
others….) . Business strategy should be based on the four generic strategies. Try to
comment based on what we have learned during lectures. Do you think that these
strategies fits well with the opportunities and threats, or strengths and weaknesses? Does
this strategy address key success factors?
