So, now that you've had a chance to watch the videos, think carefully for a moment on where that line should be drawn? You see, as a manager you're going to be faced with a variety of situations and at times making the decision can be difficult! On top of being challenged at times in making the decision, as the manager you are privy to information that is not apparent or available to others at your place of employment. That means in other people's eyes, the decision you made may not have been the best! But, your hands are tied in your ability to share information. Of course, this ties into your staff understanding the process, having faith in your ability, and knowing you would not do something to hurt them.
Anyways, back to the trolley… I would like you to answer the following questions and confine your answers to 400 words minimum, one page only (single spaced)!
1- What were the first thoughts that went through your mind as the videos were being presented?
2- if you are the person standing at that switch, and there were five individuals in the trolley and one individual on the sidetrack, what would you do if you could save those five by sacrificing the one? What if the one was a child, your friend, your spouse, your parent, your own child? Where would you draw the line?
