Based on your understanding of the Chapter 9 material, why did the cult of domesticity work so well under the breadwinner/housewife marriage pattern?
What is the role of the economy, technological innovations, medical advances, political changes, and educational needs to marital patterns? Discuss at least two of these factors and the role that they play in marital arrangements.
