Examine the trade practices and formation of markets in Salvador da Bahia by focusing on the various participants, that is, street vendors, grocers, Portuguese merchants, butchers, cattle dealers, freed Africans (men and women), female and male slaves, to name a few.
The practices and actions of all those men and women contributed to the community as a whole, and those interactions became a part of the social order, customs, and conflicts of the time.
