Theories to one case family.

● Theories to apply are: Haley’s Strategic Family Therapy Theory & Minuchin Structural Family Therapy.
● The paper should be written in the third person, in APA formatting and structured as follows:
○ Introduce the Case Family - students should briefly (in one paragraph or half a page )introduce the case family. The family system to use as a case family are the mother and daughter in Terms of Endearment. Emma and her mother Aurora. They can come to therapy for any reason the writer feels would be appropriate.
○ Theory Application: This project will cover the following family therapies: (a) Haley’s strategic family therapy and (b) Minuchin’s structural family therapy. From the perspective of each of these two theories, the student will (a) provide a theory-based assessment of the family; and (b) provide an overview of how treatment might proceed, including theory-based goals and a clear description of two theory-based interventions (intervention description: what might the therapist do or say).
○ SocioculturalAttunement:Students will discuss the socio cultural issues as they pertain to the case family.
