This is a phd class in history and criticism write a reading response to different Tempest editions in comparing between them (please mention which editions did you compare and write about on the top)
Compare the Folger edition of The Tempest to one (or more) other relatively recent editions of the play. Compare and contrast how the editors present “history” or “context” for a first-time reader of the play. What implied criticaltheoretical assumptions are operating in what is invoked as significant context? Feel free to be “listy” or more discursive as you review and compare different editorial choices.
There are four editions of the play on two-hour shelf reserve: 1. 1987 Oxford ed. Orgel (re-issued 2008); 2. 1999 St. Martin’s ed. White; 3. 2006 Yale
UP ed. Bloom, 4. 2009 Bedford ed. Graff and Phelan (“Case Studies in Critical Controversy” series)
