The SMARTER goals

This is my classmate give a postive response to her post.
Two methods that stand out to me for overcoming resistance would be establishing credibility and common
ground.
Establishing credibility in my opinion is important to win over a reluctant audience for the main reason that no
one will take anybody (shouldn't) serious after they are caught in a lie. If you are truthful from the beginning
then the chances of your audience listening with an established disagreement but an open mind might be
considered a slight advantage that I would take as a briefer.
Secondly, common ground. Once the agree to disagree has been established. I could probably reel them in
with showing my audience that I understand why they would feel or think a certain away about the topic. This is
when I could show them why I think different on the situation or approach. This opens the floor for me to
explain my perspective and if all goes well change some hearts.
