1. Discuss the process of gentrification and its impacts on communities. Living in or around New York City,
   most all of us have had some discussion regarding gentrification. Choose one aspect of gentrification that was
   new to you or that you now understand better after going through the material. (Aspects could include how
   gentrification happens, the role of government, relation to class and race, connection to globalization or
   neoliberalism, different community responses, etc.)
2. Many of us have witnessed the process of gentrification firsthand. What evidence do you have that
   gentrification is, or is not happening in your neighborhood? How does what is happening in your neighborhood
   compare to the examples of gentrification given in the course material? What has been the response of your
   community?
