The practice of container-on-flatcar.

Let’s assume that one of the customers at ABC Logistics did not have a full understanding of the practice of container-on-flatcar. He had two questions that puzzled him: (a) He asked you to explain how the container-on-flatcar actually works if that customer has only a LTL shipment of cargoes to ship via ABC Logistics, and (b) he wondered whether or not using that approach would take more time for that customer’s cargo to reach its ultimate destination. Please help that customer understand (a) the logistical approach, and (b) the estimated total shipment time so that he would rest ensured in shipping the LTL shipment via ABC Logistics.
