By integrating features such as secure messaging, video conferencing, and collaborative care notes, team members from various disciplines can engage more effectively in patient care discussions. For example, if a nurse identifies a change in a patient's condition, they could quickly communicate this to the attending physician or specialist through the EHR's messaging system. This would not only improve response times but also foster a collaborative approach to patient management, ensuring that all team members are kept informed and engaged in care decisions.
