“These are succinct statements of what your project will accomplish, due in Week One. They will help you focus on what you should be accomplishing. The keywords in the

objectives are often good terms for searching databases in the e-library. The capstone objectives should be stated in terminology that allows an observer to “assess”

or measure whether you have been successful. Rather than words like learn, understand, or explain you should use words such as that in the example below.
Acceptable: “In my capstone project, I will evaluate the managerial skills required in a small business.” Below is a short list of other appropriate terms.

Analyze Apply
Evaluate Plan
Demonstrate Reorganize

Synthesize Create
Assess Construct
Propose Implement

Example 2: Objectives for planning and developing a paralegal firm include, for example:

Assess how a firm of this nature will benefit law firms
Propose a marketing strategy that will assist with positioning the firm.
Evaluate the benefit of establishing the firm as a corporation.”
