Based on the movie, The Breakfast Club, you will create a 6 session therapeutic group proposal based on the characters and a defined problem seen. Remember, group therapy is about mutual aid. What's a problem, issue, or deficit that all characters displayed in which they can benefit from group therapy. The first page should outline the defined mutual issue (i.e. trauma, anger, abandonment, etc), the second page should provide research about evidenced-based group therapy approaches to address the issue, and the last three to eight pages should address all of these specifics: what are your participant age ranges, how many in the group, what type of group will you be doing (psychotherapy, educational, skills building, coping skills, etc), what is your overall goal for the group, how many sessions, a description of what activity you will do for each session, will it be virtual or in-person, what leadership style will you use, how will you build rapport, what strategies will you use to develop group cohesion, how will you manage transference/countertransference, ethical considerations, and how will you evaluate the effectiveness of your group.
