Do an external AND internal environment analysis of Tesla. Specifically, it should include the following:
External part:
1) General environment analysis (PESTEL analysis, what are the opportunities and threats for the firm?)
2) Industry analysis
a. industry trend ( identify key driving forces of the industry)
b. industry life cycle analysis
c. five forces analysis ( what is your conclusion of the attractiveness of the industry)
3) strategic group analysis
a. identify strategic groups for tesla
b. strategic mapping ( identify two most important elements how firms compete in the industry, and specify telsa's 'positioning' in the industry? Is that positioning sustainable?)
Internal part
Financial analysis
a. at least five years of data;
b. using multiple indicators for each category of ratio ( for example, using profit margin, ROA, ROE etc for profitability ratios)
c. including referent group for benchmark ( major competitor, industry average, market (stock price) etc.)
d. your conclusion/findings from the financial analysis
