Recommend an enterprise architecture (EA) framework for a selected organization and discuss critical elements needed to implement it. By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria: Context lyer and Gottlieb (2004) present a four-domain architecture (FDA) intended support enterprise architecture design. In their FDA they prescribe an “as-is” and a lo-be” architecture. The “as-is” architecture shows today’s baseline, that is, the organization as it is today; the “to-be’ architecture shows the planned architecture. Questions to Consider To deepen your understanding, you are encouraged to consider the questions below and discuss them with a fellow leamer, a work associate, an interested friend, or a member of the business community.
Why is an enterprise architecture useful to the IT department and the business unit managers? Is it worth the investment? What if the organization outsources its infrastructure to the cloud”? Should our enterprise governance, including IT govemance, be part of the EA? If the EA is a model of the enterprise, who is responsible for it?
