Analyze the product mix in your Product Category, including both the Private Label & National Brands in the product category (i.e. knits) and in the department (i.e. Menswear) where you hope to have your merchandise. Discuss the ratio of Private Label to the National Brands. Determine 3 primary competitive brands (Private Label & National Brands) in the retailer's product mix which your line will compete with. Take notes on fabric, fiber content, COO and prices. You will need this for your SWOT Competitive Analysis Explain why/how your product line & POD will be meaningful to each retailer. Ask yourselves why a buyer should see /purchase your line.
