Imagine that your are a health or medical professional in your community (Salt Lake County,Utah). You have a specific health concern that you want to address in your community, you need to convince your stakeholder to support your project. Before you present your project idea to your stakeholder, you are asked to summarize your concerns and proposal idea describing why you think the health concern needs more attention in your community. Note: Consider this assignment as a research proposal paper (DO NOT INCLUDE FIRST OR SECOND PERSON STATEMENTS).
What to include in research proposal paper:

*Background of the health issue
-Definition of the health issue
-Brief history of the health issue (ex. prevalent before? perceptions towards the health issue?)
*Significance of the health issue
– Prevalence data: Past vs. Present
– Population affected by the health issue
– Reasons why the stakeholder needs to pay attention to the health issue
*Conclusion: Proposal Statement
– Things that the community needs to do in order to address the health issue (ex. program implementations, policy change etc.)

APA Guidelines: The essay should be typed, double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8.5″x11″) with 1″ margins on all sides. APA recommends using 12 pt. Times New Roman font.
