reflections and any literature you may have read, what needs to change for the
stigma of mental ill-health to be overcome and how this might be achieved

Structure
You need to structure your assignment to
respond to the following 4 questions. For each question, you need to include
your own personal reflection as well as a summary of the literature, with
relevant citations.

  1. What is stigma (2 marks), how
    does it impact people with mental ill-health (3 marks), why does it occur and
    what maintains it (4 marks)? Personally reflect on how stigma is created and maintained in your current or former workplace (1 mark)
  2. What has been done to directly
    address mental health stigma in Australia (5 marks), what strategies have
    worked well (2 marks) and what is currently missing from the Australian
    response (2 marks)? Describe different types of programs and interventions and provide examples. Personally reflect on an intervention/program delivered in your current or former workplace and how well
    it worked (1 mark)
  3. Why have some strategies been
    more successful than others? (4 marks) Personally reflect on why the workplace intervention/program you described in Q2 was
    successful/unsuccessful (1 mark)
  4. What needs to change for the
    stigma of mental ill-health to be overcome? (4 marks)
