If it is your intention to apply for a PhD through us then can I suggest you provide us with the following information:
1) a CV with details of your previous qualifications and research experience, and copies of your academic awards
2) a statement to confirm your source of funding
3) a statement of your research interests and a concept note, outlining your proposed research area / topic.
I have chosen agriculture vulnerability in Angola as a topic of my research proposal but the lecturer said:
proposed title is a little too broad. I suggest you narrow it down a bit.
1) At the moment we do not have funding to support PhD research and we would advise students to begin the process of seeking financial support while applying for further studies.
2) We have a number of areas of research interest within our School but would also ask potential students to provide a 300 - 500 word concept note, summarising previous research topics undertaken during both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and to outline a specific area of research they wish to pursue.
