Qualitative research. Visit a religious ceremony in a temple, church, or mosque that is very different from your religion. In other words, don't choose two churches that are both Christian, but choose a religious ceremony that has fundamental differences from yours. You can do this even if you are an atheist. Answer the following questions. What were the differences between your religion and the one you visited? What did the members communicate vernally and nonverbally? What were the nonverbal attributes of the place of worship? Who communicated with you and how did you feel? How did you react/act? What behaviors did you exhibit that may have helped or stymied inclusive interactions?
