Sonnet Project

  1. You will make 3 original sonnets about any topic you want (using the resources provided ).

  2. You will accompany with your sonnets 5 original photographs that YOU will or have taken on your phone of either the ideas that are relevant to your sonnets OR you performing your sonnets.
  3. You can submit this work to me in a word document

Step by Step Sonnet:

  1. Sonnet’s have 14 lines.
  2. Each line has 10 syllables in it.
  3. There are 3 stanzas, each with 4 lines in them.
  4. Sonnets rhyme using this scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG.
  5. Sonnet’s are usually about love or nature.
  6. The final GG couplet rhyme usually is what’s known as “a turn” (or a twist) where you reverse the meaning of what you’ve been saying for the past 12 lines.
