Wright Mills’ concept of the sociological imagination, defining all terms (e.g., troubles, issues, context, biography, history, social context), and clearly anchor your response in the original text by Mills (this means including short quotes from Mills’ text that you must cite). a. Explain the social context that shaped your choice to attend college (in general) and Roosevelt University (in specific).
b.Provide the context that shaped your choice to go to college, utilizing at least three concepts from the Sociology of Education chapter (name and define each concept).
c.Discuss specific institutional forces that we discussed in this third section, such as economy and labor market, immigration, family, and/or credentials.
d.Discuss intersectionality (GRECCSO) by addressing the way(s) three of the following locations of inequality have shaped you/your choice(s): race/ethnicity, class, citizenship, gender, sexuality, religion, and ability.
e.Define all terms on first use. Also, be sure to support your arguments with data/evidence from the textbook. Cite the textbook for quotes and data you use.
f.Conclude with a reflection on the ways the sociological imagination helps us understand the choices we make.
