Social work: problem solving

https://youtu.be/Q8h091XW5zw
Pick a character in the skit to demonstrate problem identification, goal setting, and contracting.

Problem Identification: How does your client identify or define their problem? How long have they had the

problem? What attempts have the clients made to get help for the problem? What are your insights (as a

social worker) regarding the problem? Remember not to use bias or what you do in your culture.

Goals: What are the problems? What goals have you identified? *Goals- change you want to see. i.e

drinking less, looking healthier, mind one's temper. Must be measurable. EX: in stead of John running, he

will walk slowly over the next two days.

Contract: Develop a written contract statement in a paragraph listing the short term and long term goal

that you identified in goals section. Discuss what ways the problem can be addressed in order to reach the

goals. Provide 2-3 interventions that would be helpful. List what the client is to do by when.
