Complete a literature review that addresses the current published literature related to the social problem you have chosen for your Social Policies Critique project.

The literature review will become a component of your project, which is due in Unit 10. Here are some guidelines to assist you as you work on this assignment (also,

please refer to the Scoring Guide for additional instructions):
•The paper should be approximately 6-7 pages.
•You should have at least 10 references; 5 should be peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last five years.
•Adhere to APA style when citing your sources.

Your source selections should be well-rounded. At the minimum, include the following elements:
•Literature that reflects empirical research.
•Literature on at least 3 theoretical, or conceptual, perspectives related to the problem you are addressing.
•Literature that analyzes and evaluates the social welfare policies targeted at the identified problem.
•Literature on at least 3 frameworks for policy-making related to the social welfare policies.

Provide the following information for each article you choose:
•Evaluate each source on its usefulness and applicability.
•Describe the strengths and weaknesses of the material presented in each source.
•Identify the social policies that are principal to the problem you have selected for your project, and describe their major components, historical background, goals,

and target population.
•Summarize the social, political and historical context of the research, theories, methods and policies you found when conducting your research.
