Social media has had a significant impact on my personal connection with community. I have always been a shy person, and I found it difficult to connect with people in person. However, social media has made it easier for me to connect with people who share my interests, regardless of where they live. I can now participate in online communities and discussions, and I have made many friends through social media.

Social media has also allowed me to connect with my local community in a way that I never could before. I can follow local businesses and organizations on social media, and I can stay up-to-date on events and happenings in my community. I can also use social media to connect with my neighbors and to get involved in local initiatives.

My own sense of identity is expressed through utilizing social media in regard to my own culture, ethnicity, and status within society. I am a Kenyan-American woman, and I am proud of my heritage. I use social media to share information about my culture and to connect with other Kenyans and Kenyan-Americans. I also use social media to raise awareness about issues that are important to me, such as racial justice and immigration reform.

I have changed my perspective and/or opinion about a topic after reviewing other’s viewpoints expressed through social media. For example, I used to believe that affirmative action was unfair to white people. However, after reading about the experiences of people of color who have benefited from affirmative action, I changed my mind. I now believe that affirmative action is necessary to level the playing field for people of color.

The additional information that I was given led me to change my viewpoint or stance on this topic because it gave me a better understanding of the experiences of people of color. I realized that affirmative action is not about giving people of color an unfair advantage. It is about giving them a fair chance to compete in a system that is stacked against them.

I believe that social media can be a powerful tool for learning and understanding different perspectives. It can help us to connect with people from all over the world and to learn about their experiences. It can also help us to challenge our own assumptions and to grow as individuals.
