Read the attachment and write about the shift change handovers. I need one paragraph of introduction and 2 main paragraph and one conclusion.
Shift Change Handovers (.Communication is vital in an aviation environment. At shift changes we need to be able to effectively communicate with the next shift any outstanding tasks that need to be progressed. If there is a lack of effective communication between shifts then items may get missed and aircraft released to service with components not fitted or fitted incorrectly. By using spoken and written forms of communication at shift handover, misunderstanding and omission of information can be avoided, helping to reduce the potential for a maintenance error to occur. Spoken communication allows direct reporting at a face to face level. It gives the advantage of instant feedback, the recipient being able to ask questions and confirm understanding of the task requirements thereby leading to a precise and detailed handover. Disadvantages are that the information must be remembered and recalled correctly, distortions and misunderstandings can occur as details are further passed on. Communications can also fail when one or the other party is not listening or is distracted.
Human Factors
Written communication involves the use of a changeover log, work sheets and very often, shift diaries. These provide a permanent record that can be referred to by all interested parties. They can be used to provide a large amount of information. including records of serial and part numbers of components. They can also, over a period of time, be used to establish defect patterns. The main disadvantages of written communication are lack of feedback and the quality of what is written; the same words can be understood in different ways by different people. Not enough information may be given and ambiguity can lead to misunderstanding. In exceptional cases, writing may be difficult to read.
