Question 1---Coffee With…Selection of Designer and Scholarly Sources( JUST a few sentences about the designer and three citations.)
Who will you be interviewing for your Coffee With…project and what scholarly sources will you be referencing?
It must be a designer, who lived, or is still alive between the dates we cover in class--1880-now.
An artist is different from a designer. This is a design history course, not an art history course. Main differences between art and design:
Art is experience driven, design is solution driven
Art is a unique product, design is replicated
Artists work with the client, designer work for the masses
You will eventually select five objects this designer created.
Remember, you will need to locate academic/scholarly sources on the object and the designer you select to complete the project.
You must include at least three scholarly sources from the Rutgers Library in your research (Links to an external site.). All three sources must be cited in your interview and introduction.
