In each of the sections, you will need to reflect on the material. You are to skim the assigned chapter and write and submit 1 five to eight sentence paragraph describing two facts you already KNOW about topics presented in the chapter. For instance, discuss how you know it. Think about where you learned the information. Give an example that is not in the book or give an example from your own life that demonstrates how you knew the information before reading the chapter. Then, you will skim the chapter a little more carefully to write and submit 2 five to eight sentence paragraphs describing three facts you WANT to know more about regarding information presented in that chapter. When writing this section, do not use a string of questions. Give a reflection on why you want to learn more about this, how you will use this information once you learn it, or what you will personally gain from knowing more about the topic you describe. Finally, you will write 3 five to eight sentence paragraphs describing new information you LEARNED after reading the assigned chapter. In the learning section is what YOU learned from the chapter. Reflect on what you learned. Give an example that is not in the book or apply your new knowledge to some aspect of your life. For each of the sections, I want to see a combination between the material from the chapter and your application of the material to your life. Do not use discussion board questions to answer the questions. If I notice this, you will not receive credit. Also, do not copy material from the book. I want to know what YOU learned. If I notice chunks of text coming from the book or other sources, I will give a zero on the assignment, as it is plagiarism.
