Sampling Strategy

Select a topic dealing with criminal justice.
Using these 3 different strategies describe how you would use that purposeful sampling strategy to undertake
your inquiry.

  1. Self-study: making oneself the case/ examining one's own experience of a phenomenon of interest.
  2. Intensity sampling: information-rich cases that manifest the phenomenon intensely but not extremely.
  3. Analytically focused sampling: cases are selected to support and deepen qualitative analysis and
interpretation of patterns and thememes. this is a form of emergent sampling at the analysis stage.
