Choose a contemporary public policy and provide an overview of arguments and assessment of positions. You must provide a brief overview of the content of the policy – What is it? What is it about? Is it new or does it replace a previous policy? Once you outline the background and explain the key aspects of the policy you should identify how the policy has been publicly received – that is, are there various groups who are responding to the policy? What do they say and what are the differences between them. You should also provide a conclusion that overviews your own assessment of the various responses to the public policy you chose. For example, are some responses more valid than others? How did you assns that? Why do you think this?
