1) Write a paragraph, with a minimum of 5 sentences, that is an overview of the main topics of the article, with
APA Guidelines using citations; paraphrasing, direct quotes, or in-text quotes. (Just the Facts from the article).
Be sure the key term from the chapter is the main focus. If you use content from the article and do not use
citation – that’s consider plagiarism – which is bad! So – the intent of this exercise is to teach you how to use
citation. Skill development!
2) Write a paragraph of your Professional Opinion, with a minimum of 5 sentences, of your interpretations of
the concepts from the article. (This is your opportunity to give your ‘Professional Opinion’. Ideas to consider
(but are not limited to) – a) In what way does this article relate to the chapter, b) how has this article helped you
understand the key term/chapter, c) basically your profession ‘review’ of the article, d) other ideas you come up
with.
3) Write a paragraph of your Professional Opinion, with a minimum of 5 sentences, of how this article can
relate to you. Examples to consider (but not limited to): a) your current or future career, b) your
community/region, c) other ideas you come up with. Time to be creative!
