Research and Change

Project description
Research Title: Searching for the Right Employee for the Organization
Gap: Researchers found that companies often miss an applicants deception, and hire up to 31% of all deceptive candidates interviewed (Carlson, Carlson, & Ferguson, 2011). Hiring employees that are not the right fit for the job may result in high employee turnover rate. Matching the right employees would be beneficial to the organization if matching job resources were available. According to researchers, up until now, there has been an increased body of empirical evidence suggesting that employers should make matching job resources available to workers (Tooren, Jonge, & Dormann, 2012). There has been little research to determine the most effective way to socialize new employees. Literature suggests that the faster new hires are socialized, the higher their job satisfaction, and the higher commitment to the organization.
Research Question 1: What are some ways a candidates cultural fit can be assessed?
Research Question 2: What is the best way to prevent occupational stressors?
Based on the information above titled, Searching for the Right Employee for the Organization, post a description of the gaps in literature that you identified and your research question. Then, explain any potential social change implications you might encounter if you were to conduct this research.
