Anthony Appiah, utilizes a mix of primarily historical and anecdotal accounts with his own cultural theories to convince his broad yet educated audience of the need to further define the meaning and significantly expand the applications of the term cosmopolitanism in order to create a framework for ethical interactions between cultures in our globalized world.
