Question Two: For many people, the notion that nationalism is an ideology may seem surprising. This is partly because we view nationalism as "natural," and as something that has always existed in the world. But this clearly isn't the case. Nationalism is a relatively recent, modem phenomenon.
For this essay, I want you to do TWO things. First, explain how nationalism is, in fact, an ideology. Second, discuss the importance of nationalism as an ideology in the United States?
