Q : In the past week the European Commission has indicated it will withdraw from work associated with the Circular Economy in the future. However, the EC has led European waste policy principally through the Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC). Set out what you consider to be the principal measures/articles that the Directive has introduced and what impacts they have had on how waste is managed in the UK.
