5.  Using Stannard’s article and other readings/videos compare and contrast the savagery (cruelty), and civility (niceness) of the settlers and Native peoples both prior to, and subsequent to their contact with each other.
6.        Magdalina is an elderly Hispanic female who recently immigrated to this  country.  Shortly after her arrival, her husband died. Describe the framework that you would use to direct and drive your work with her. Your answer should identify likely sources of both friction and support.
7.    Compare and contrast the Hardiman and Helms’ theories of white identity development.  In your answer discuss the role of information processing strategies (IPS) in the maintenance of the status quo. Be sure to give examples of current utilization of IPS, other than those mentioned in the article.
8.    The laws (both de jure and de facto)  and policies of the United States have had a negative impact on the mental health of  African Americans, and have been  culturally, politically and economically disadvantageous them.  Discuss.
