Watch the Central Park 5 documentary (the one by Ken Burns, not the most recent) and write a short reflection paper (1-2 pages) answering the following two questions:
Are adolescents who commit serious crimes less blameworthy than adults? How should we define legal boundaries when deciding whether to try adolescents in a juvenile court or an adult court?
Be sure to include what you have learned about adolescent brain development, risky behavior, psychosocial development, and factors we should consider when drawing legal boundaries and deciding whether to try adolescents in a juvenile court or a criminal court.
