Psychiatric Mental Disorder and Physical Health Disorder

        · Describe a nursing situation – describe a situation when you have cared for a person with a mental disorder. · Discuss the person’s developmental stage, culture, gender, socio-economic status and integrate into discussion of the nursing situation.   · Formulate a DSM-5 diagnosis. · Formulate 2 Differential Diagnoses.   · Describe the DSM-5 diagnosis identified in Step 1 and one Differential Diagnosis. · Include the etiology, prevalence, behaviors related to the disorder, according to the DSM-5 criteria) and related assessment /screening tools you might use to validate your diagnosis.   · Describe a common physical health condition that frequently co-occurs with the psychiatric disorders you identified. Describe the impact of the physical health condition on the person’s mental disorder.   · Integrate three research studies relevant to either the individual’s physical health condition and/or mental disorder.
