Write a 2500 word proposal and treatment for a new 60-minute live show for Brayford Radio. This will be a one-off pilot show aimed at students, they will be listening on line or download the show on-demand.
The only remit is that it needs to be suitable for a 16-25 audience listening to the University of Lincoln's Internet station and comply with broadcasting in terms of no extreme or libelous content or swearing. Please cover the following areas:
1)Name the show, the theme and the proposed content. 2)Design the running order, who/what will be in the programme and how will the first show sound? 3)You will need to research and plan for at least 6 programme items, no longer than 4 minutes each. You should include at least two live items. What will these be? Provide as much detail as possible based on thorough background research. 4)Who will present this programme? How will it sound in terms of the approach, it is comedy, serious debate, satire, magazine-style or improvised? 5)What briefing would you give to the presenters in terms of their performance on air? 6)How would the programme be branded and how would you use social media to launch the programme and develop an audience? 7)Present a running order with items and cues, write as much detail as possible to present a 'flavour' of the programme 8)What technical issues may arise? Would you live stream the show, or do any Outside Broadcasts? Discuss your technical requirements in more detail. 9)Which current shows on air have you influenced by and why? Give examples of good practice, which have inspired you. 10) Are there any compliance/legal or copyright issues to be explored? Discuss —where would you go for advice on how to tackle this? 11) How would you budget if you were doing this as a freelancer? What would the cost be to produce this one-off programme if there was a small development budget?
