Project Report Order Description TMA04 is to tell the story of the progress of research so far starting with the broad topic area, i.e. Families (drawing on DD307 material to locate and situate your topic) and then gradually narrow down to your specific focus of 'How professionals' talk about the impact of domestic violence on children's well-being' to show what is already known, what is contested and what questions remain to be addressed. To do this effectively it will be important to analyse and evaluate sufficient focused material in some depth for the issues/questions the research has raised so you can identify gaps in the knowledge to use to justify your specific focus and your theoretical and methodological approach - i.e. so that your own study appears to emerge naturally as important from gaps in the knowledge that need to be addressed to advance academic understanding.
