During the Progressive Era (1890-1920s), social reformers sought to improve American society in a variety of different ways. Today, many politicians who call themselves Progressives are also trying to reform American society, politically, economically and socially. Compare and contrast the extent to which social reformers in the Progressive Era were able to achieve their goals with the goals aspired to by the Progressives of today.
