Prevalence of trauma among the secondary school students

i. Determine the prevalence of trauma among the secondary school students during the pandemic period. ii. To determine the prevalence of parental care among parents with children having pandemic related trauma. iii. To determine the role of support services offered to the secondary students experiencing trauma during pandemic periods by different people and its impact on academic success. Research questions The research shall seek to answer the following research questions: i. Are there secondary school students facing trauma during the pandemic period in Texas? ii. Are the parents informed of their role in supporting these students to overcome the trauma after the pandemic period? iii. Is there any impact brought about by the trauma support services to the academic excellence of secondary school students experiencing trauma in the period? Significance of the study The study shall be useful to the policymakers in defining the best policies that should be put in place to prevent youths from experiencing trauma and the necessary bodies that should aid in helping the youths to recover from trauma. In practice, the study shall inform parents on the role and position that they should take in parental care to help prevent trauma among youths and for the recovery of those already affected. In theory, the study shall build on the body of knowledge for reference in future scholarly work and help in establishing a gap for future studies to be done on the subject matter. These crucial uses underscore the importance of this study and highlight how it would contribute greatly to the education sector. Research methodology Methodology in research is an outline that governs how the research would be actualized. The methodology guides all aspects of the actual conduct of research, mainly on data collection and analysis. Research design In research, it is vital that the right methodology is adopted. It not only controls the conduct of the research but also determines its quality. This research would make use of a qualitative research design. The research design has been highly preferred in the psychological related studies due to its ability to answer the question behind how, to what extend and why rather than the question of simply the numbers. Data collection. Data would primarily be collected through the use of questionnaires.
