There are have been 4 traditional phases of Emergency management which are Mitigation, Preparedness,
Response, and Recovery. Recently, Prevention has been added to the “Preparedness Cycle” as a phase. For
this assignment, you will review and create a case study on any topic in relation to an Emergency Management
Phase focusing on the Preparedness Phase. Your case study should a process or record of research in which
detailed consideration is given to the development of a particular person, group, or situation over a period of
time. Case studies are a popular research method in the Emergency Management arena. Case studies aim to
analyze specific issues within the boundaries of a specific environment, situation or organization. The Case
Study should be at least 2 pages and be in the APA format
