PRACTICAL PRESENTATION: Becoming an eclectic school counselor is not a haphazard, hodge-podge of techniques. It involves purposeful and meaningful interaction and activities based on the needs of the students, parents, and staff. You will prepare a 1- to 2-page handout, a PowerPoint, a graphic organizer, or other method of presentation of a theory as it relates to school counseling. Your product will cover the following information:
Name of Theory and major theorist(s).
Basic tenets/beliefs/philosophies about the client and the counselor as they relate to school counseling.
Provide practical activities, questions, and/or phrases that would be used in a school setting for both elementary and secondary levels.
Provide references, resources, videos, and websites for more exploration or information.
