Patrick Stuebing and Susan Karolewski are biological siblings, but they did not grow up together. The two never made contact with each other until they were

adults, and grew close after their mother's death. They eventually developed a romantic relationship and had four children (two are severely disabled).

Stuebing was convicted of incest and spent three years in prison, as a result. Interestingly, Karolewski has not spent time in prison. The couple have fought

publicly for the right to have a relationship and have a family. However, there are concerns about the increased risk of disability and the welfare of

children born in these relationships.
