Develop a list of ten performance indicators that you can present to your (fictional) Chief of Police and say why
they will be appropriate for the Department and the stakeholders.
A clue – a performance indicator might say how much of something will be achieved by what date, and must be
measurable. For example, it could be to undertake a telephonic satisfaction survey of every crime victim
between January 1 st and December 31 st. This data could be used to inform a number of strategies, such as
those on police community relations, as well as police response to calls for service.
