One act play -No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre

Description

Identify a work of literature (e.g. a shorter poem, a scene from a play, a short story) not including any of those we have addressed collectively and read it closely. How does the author's use of language (e.g. her/his use of specific words, phrases, rhyme schemes) serve to establish a theme, sketch a character, develop a plot point, etc. in the larger context of the work as a whole? Develop an argument in response to that question in an essay of approximately 750-1000 words on the basis of your analysis alone (i.e. do not rely on any secondary sources, such as scholarly articles, editorial remarks, though you may use your own close readings of comparable works of literature as points of reference). You should employ an established style of citation and documentation (e.g. MLA, Chicago).
