Watch the primer video about what Naturalism and Realism is [like, it addresses real life experiences, it is about real people (poor, middle-class, working class), it is not "overblown" like Romanticism, it is focuses and critiques unfair practices, institutions, and organizations, etc…]. Read the Lecture about Realism. Then read "Occurrence at Owl Creek."write a (350 word minimum) short essay explaining what makes this short story fit in with Realism. Also, explain how this short story critiques Romanticism. Use examples from the story as evidence to answer these two questions, and explain that evidence.
